Translink Priority Projects Accelerated

Having a robust, convenient, and accessible public transit system is crucial to successfully reaching our climate targets. A few months ago, I started looking into how Burnaby could facilitate faster and more reliable public transit. We had 5 priority projects we were working on with Translink that were to be completed in 2023, but considering the climate emergency, I asked staff to accelerate this completion to be in 2022. Burnaby is now prioritizing these to be completed and hopefully, public transit will be a bit quicker and easier as a result.
